Melisa Hesson
Melisa is the Marketing and Programs Director for energy efficiency and lighting company RAY-LITE Industries in Brea, CA. This position not only allows her to explore the marketing and advertising world, but also allows her to follow her passion for writing as the Editor of the firm's publication, FYI: Your Lighting Lowdown.
She attended Brigham Young University and later graduated with a degree in English Arts from Dixie State College. Since then she has held jobs in retail, non-profit, recruitment, photography, and early childhood skill development. The one constant across the board has been her writing -- whether in travel publications, essay collections, or blogs, she continues to write on a regular basis. She's happy to take on her newest writing roles as a contributing writer for Suite101.com, and as the LA Disneyland Examiner.
She currently lives in Orange County, California with her husband. She considers herself a full-on "foodie" and loves to travel in search of great cuisine! Her motto is "so much flavor, so little time -- every meal is a chance to taste something new and delicious -- don't let it go to waste!"
Her hobbies include cooking, writing (of course!), swimming, photography, cinema and television, and girl time with her 4 sisters.
